Dear Devotees,

The Vishnu Sahsranama (literally: "the thousand names of Vishnu") is a list of 1,000 names for Vishnu, one of the main forms of God in Hinduism and the personal supreme God for Vaishnavas (followers of Vishnu).  It is also one of the most sacred and commonly chanted stotras in Hinduism.  Mankind will be free from all sorrows by chanting the Vishnu sahasranama  which are the thousand names of the all-pervading Supreme being Vishnu, who is the master of all the worlds, supreme over the devas and who is one with Brahman.

Having thus introduced the importance of reciting Vishnu sahasranama’, the temple is very pleased to announce and welcomes all devotees to the 4th Sunday puja which will start at 11:30am and will end with aarthi at 12:45pm.  The puja will begin with a short prayer to lord Ganesha followed by the chanting of Vishnu sahasranama.  This will be followed by Bhajans. The board will then make a few announcements which will be followed by Aarthi.

All those who are interested in singing Bhajans please contact Lakshmy Gopal, Tel :(517)706-0660
