This message has reminders or new
information about the following upcoming events at the Bharatiya Temple of
Lansing.
1)
Rama Navami
celebration on Friday, April 3, from 7 PM.
Program includes puja, bhajans, Ramayan closing, and arati. Those wishing to
prepare food for the prasad (dinner) to follow may please contact Sharmaji

Sita-Rama Vivaham
on Saturday, April 4, from 7 PM to 8:30 PM.
Your sponsorship of the Vivaham ($25 per family) is requested. Please call Sharmaji
or Shastriji at (517)339-6337 for your participation and sponsorship.
3)
New Program on
Second Sunday of each month at 11:30 AM, starting with April 12, 2009. The program will consist of Bhajans and
Meditation and will be coordinated by Dr. Kumar Arun, e-mail: Kumar2786@hotmail.com, phone: 517-349-0668. The
program will begin with a short prayer at 11:30 AM and end with Arati around 1
PM. Everyone interested in devotional songs and group meditation is encouraged
to attend with family and friends. Occasionally, there will be a guest speaker,
however the forum will provide time to attendees to share their personal
spiritual experiences. The temple management is considering arranging for a
vegetarian lunch in future after the event at a very reasonable cost. The
details will be posted on the temple website. Your participation and
suggestions are encouraged and may be forwarded to Dr. Kumar Arun.
4) Spring concert by Anand Bhate on
Saturday April 25 at 4:30 PM. A
disciple of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Anand is one of
the most promising artistes in the new generation of the great
Khirana tradition and will sing Hindi and Marathi bhajans. Details are posted

This is a fund-raising event for the Temple and we request you to show your
support by attending the performance in large numbers.
