This message has two announcements from the Bharatiya Temple
of Lansing.
1. Instrumental Concert on Saturday
June 6 at 4:30 PM
An instrumental
concert by two very
promising artists, Dr. Krishnaveni
Nishtala on Veena and Mrs. Anupama Bhagwat on Sitar,
is planned for June 6th (Saturday) at 4:30 PM.
This is a fundraising event for the temple with tickets priced at $ 25.00
each. The two artists will perform a "jugalbandi" accompanied by Hemant
Babtiwale on tabla and Raja
Sekhar Atmakuri on mridangam.
Krishnaveni Nishtala and Hemant Babtivale have performed
at our temple before. The concert features traditional Hindustani and Carnatic instrumental ensemble. Please do join this grand
event and support our temple.

Seating starts - 4:30 PM
First Half of Concert starts - 5:00 PM
Break - 6:00 PM – 6:15 PM
Second Half of Concert - 6:15 PM – 7:15 PM

2. Baccaulaureate celebration by East Lansing
High School graduating students on Monday May 25 at 7 PM
Baccalaureate is a
voluntary celebration that brings together students of all faiths and
traditions to mark the completion of their high school studies. The ELHS
graduating students will share songs, prayers, and expressions of a wide range
of spiritual traditions to commemorate this passage in their lives with
solemnity and celebration. It is an honor for the temple to be the host for
this event this year and be considered an integral part of our community at
large. About 100 students and 100-150 parents and family members will attend
the 1-hour event. Temple devotees are welcome to attend the event.
