November 10, 2009

Dear Devotees,

1) Appeal for donations to Greater Lansing Food Bank:

Dear Community Members:

Indian community and friends have contributed generously to the Food Bank and Feed the Hungry programs in the past.  Collective contributions from the Indian community have been truly appreciated by the organizers of these programs. The Temple Board of Trustees would like to request your generous contributions towards this very worthy cause this year as well.

Our community volunteers, Mr. Jai Jaglan, Mr. Madan Lalwani, Mr. Bidhan Redey, and Mr. Shivkumar Singh have agreed to collect and deliver all the checks on behalf of the Indian Community to the Greater Lansing Food Bank on Thursday, December 10, 2009.  The checks will be presented during "Feed the Hungry" luncheon organized by the India Cultural Society (ICS).  ICS and community volunteers will serve a hot lunch on that day to the needy at the Downtown Ministry on Capitol Avenue in downtown Lansing.  There is an increased need of donations during this time of the year.

Please make your check payable to Greater Lansing Food Bank and mail it to:
