This message has two announcements from the Bharatiya Temple of Lansing.

1) Gita Jayanthi celebration on Saturday December 18 from 6:30 AM:
We will celebrate Gita Jayanthi on Saturday December 18.  Details about what Gita Jayanthi is and why celebrate it as well as the specific program for that day are posted at http://lansingtemple.org/misc/GitaJayanthi2010.pdf

The program is:
6:30 AM Puja (Temple Priest)
7:00 AM Gîtâ Pârâyan begins (Devotees)
11:20 AM  End of Gîtâ Pârâyan
11:20 AM Gita chanting by youth group
11:40 AM  Universal Message of Gita
12:00 noon Gita - Personal Experiences by Devotees
12:10 PM Ârati, cake cutting, partaking of Gitamrit, Prasad Lunch (potluck)
Everyone is cordially invited to attend this auspicious celebration.

2) Third Sunday Havan on December 19 at 11:30 AM:
The monthly Third Sunday havan will be on December 19 at 11:30 AM. It is being sponsored by Dr. and Mrs. Ved Gossain and their family. Everyone is invited to attend the havan.  Families with children are especially encouraged to attend, as both adults and children will be able to participate in the Havan. The basic elements of the Havan will be explained. Please arrive at 11:15 if you would like your children to participate in the Havan.

The usual First and Third Sunday lunch in the temple dining hall hosted by devotees and the temple will be available from 1 PM. The lunch, prepared by the cooking staff of the temple, will be available for the regular fee of $5 per adult and $3 for children under 12. Your support of the lunch program helps the kitchen operation of the temple. Some food will also be available for sale at nominal prices in take away containers.
