Dear Devotees,
This message has five announcements
from the Bharatiya Temple of Lansing.
1) Jain Puja on Sunday December 27 at 11:00 AM:
The Jain group of Lansing performs Jain puja
on the fourth Sunday of each month from 11 AM to
12.30 PM. This month's puja will be on December 27.
2) Fourth
Sunday Program on Sunday December 27 at 11:30 AM:
The monthly Fourth Sunday Puja will be on
December 27. The puja will begin with a short
prayer to Lord Ganesha at 11:30 AM, followed by the
chanting of Vishnu Sahasranama and singing of bhajans, and ends with Aarati.
3) New Year's Day Program on Friday
January 1, 2010:
We will celebrate New
Year's Day 2010 (Friday, January 1, 2010) with prayers, puja and a havan for world peace
starting at 8:30 AM. You are cordially invited to attend and participate
in the program, which is posted at http://lansingtemple.org/misc/NewYear2010Program.pdf
4) The Temple is booked for a
private function on 2nd January 2 from 4PM to 8 PM. Only the sanctum will be available to
devotees.
5) We thank the Indian community for the great
response to the joint appeal from the Temple and the India Cultural Society for
donations to The Greater Lansing Food Bank. As in past years, the
community has responded generously. About $17,000 was collected and turned over to the Food Bank at a
ceremony on December 10. We applaud the efforts of Jai Bhagwan Jaglan, Madan Lalwani, Bidhan Redey, and Shivkumar Singh in spearheading this effort.
