Lord Venkateshwara, also known as Balaji, is an incarnation of Shri Maha Vishnu. He has four arms, the upper right arm holds Sudarshana Chakra (discus), the upper left arm holds Pancha-Janya (conch), the lower right hand is in Varada hasta (boon-giving) pose, and the lower left hand is in Katyavalambita pose, turned inward. Four represents fulfillment of manifestations in all spheres of existence, the four goals of human life – Dharma, Artha, Kamam, and Moksha.
Our temple’s Venkateshwara murti is about 3′ high. It was donated by Gondy and Jhansi Rao. Made of black granite, it was received from India in 1994.
